Three meals and movies provided on board. DAY 2 (Wed) BEIJING Upon arrival at the Beijing Capital International Airport, you will be met by our representatives and transferred to your hotel. Day 3 (Thurs) BEIJING (AB, L, SD) After breakfast, visit the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world, and the emperor’s Summer Palace. Enjoy Peking duck dinner.
Today, explore the famous Great Wall, Ming Tombs, the well-preserved imperial cemetery of Ming Dynasty. Enjoy the Beijing acrobatic show in the evening. DAY 5 (Sat) BEIJING / SUZHOU (via Shanghai) (AB, L, D) After breakfast, you will take a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival at Shanghai airport, you will be met and transferred to the city of Suzhou, which is often referred to as the “Venice of the East”. On your way to Suzhou, you will take a tour of Zhouzhuang, a village of more than one thousand years history near Suzhou, where you will experience the serene country lifestyle of the local residents, and enjoy the “old world” architecture and the local customs that have been so well preserved. DAY 6 (Sun) SUZHOU / WUXI (AB, L, D) Today you will cruise on the world famous ancient Grand Canal of more than 2400 years history to experience the unique cultures and glimpse the daily life of the local residents. You will also visit the silk embroidery factory, the Lingering Garden and the ancient Panmen Gate, the only existing water & land gate in China before taking a bus ride to the city of Wuxi, the “land of fish and rice”. Stay overnight in Wuxi.
The highlight today is a tour of the beautiful Tai Lake. Visit the Tea Pot Museum before taking a bus ride to Nanjing, one of the most important ancient capital cities in China, in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your five star deluxe hotel for check-in. Enjoy your free time tonight. DAY 8 (Tues) NANJING (AB, L, D) The excursion today takes you to Dr. Sun Yat Sen’s Mausoleum, and the Ming Tomb for the first Ming Emperor which has been designated as the World Cultural Heritage Site by the United Nations. After lunch you will have a tour of the city wall of more than 600 years and the biggest city gate in the world-Zhonghua City Gate. In late afternoon, you will be taken to the Confucious Temple and Qinhuai River scenic belt for sightseeing. Enjoy the night view of Qinhuai River.
This morning you will take a bus ride to the city of Hangzhou, the most beautiful city in the world as praised by Marco Polo. You will tour the Pagoda of Six Harmonies, built in the year 970 AD, and view goldfish at Flower Harbor at the West Lake, which is considered one of the top ten scenic attractions of the West Lake. DAY 10 (Thurs) HANGZHOU / SHANGHAI (AB, L, SD) After breakfast, you will cruise the scenic West Lake and enjoy the fascinating sceneries around the lake. Visit a tea orchard and learn the Chinese tea culture. In the afternoon, you will take a bus ride to Shanghai, China’s most popular metropolis that has attracted the visitors from all over the world. Attend a farewell dinner party in the evening. DAY 11 (Fri) SHANGHAI (AB, L, D) Today you will visit the Bund, Yu Garden, the bustling Nanjing Road and the famous Shanghai Museum of Art & History which ranks among the great museums of the world. DAY 12 (Sat) SHANGHAI / US (AB) Today you will take a departure transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
